Our team is made up of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about making a difference through our cause. Many volunteers who contribute their time are high school students looking to help out.
Dear Hearts and Hands Supporters,
Our nonprofit was founded with a shared mission to support the mental health and emotional well-being of children in pediatric hospital units through creativity and learning.
We provide educational craft kits designed to help young patients express themselves, stay engaged, and find comfort during challenging times. Each kit is created with care, with the goal of bringing small moments of joy, connection, and healing into the hospital experience.
Together, we are committed to making a meaningful difference... one craft kit at a time.
With Gratitude,
Hearts and Hands Team
Arisa Costakis is a high school student from New Jersey who has always had a passion for helping others, especially during difficult and emotional times. That passion led her to create Hearts & Hands, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting pediatric patients through educational craft kits that encourage creativity, comfort, and emotional expression.
Her interest in mental health and supporting young people continues to grow, and she hopes to pursue a career in psychiatry. Through both her future studies and ongoing work with Hearts & Hands, Arisa is committed to continuing to support the mental well-being of youth and helping them navigate challenging experiences with care and understanding.
